The box came in at 1211 hours for a house fire at 4672 Penn Hill Drive. Stations 22 & 16 respond. Chief 22 arrives and transmits a working fire. First-in companies stretch two handlines to the interior and have the bulk of the fire darkened down by 1226 hours. A Neffs firefighter reunites a dog with the homeowner. The pet was treated at the scene by EMS. The fire was under control at 1311 hours.

A camper fire was reported at 2140 hours for 3rd and Carbon Streets in Whitehall. Engines 13, 3, 4, Chief 35 (Benner) and Assistant Bilder respond (3a). Assistant Chief Bilder goes on location and transmits a working fire. Engine 13 arrives moments later and stretched one handline and darkens down the fire within minutes. Watch the video as we arrive simultaneously with the engine.

A house was destroyed by fire around 9:30am today at 452 E. Emaus Avenue. Heavy fire was consuming the front of the dwelling upon arrival of the fire company and a second alarm was quickly transmitted. Stations 20, 34, 31, 32 and Northampton County 18 were on the scene.

AFD responds to small job in Center City Allentown...

At 00:20 hours, fire dispatch transmitted box 2521 (12 & Turner) for a house fire at 210 N. Poplar Street. Engines 4, 9, 6, Truck 2, BC 3 (G. Scheirer) and FM3 (F. Scheirer) take-in the box. Battalion 3 arrives and finds the front door burning on a 2 1/12 story M/O/R. Engine 4 stretches one handline. Crews conduct primary and secondary searches. Crews vented 3 homes and investigator Fred Scheirer conducted the investigation.

FDNY 3 alarm fire in Hell's Kitchen on 45th Street...

We caught this 3 alarm fire in Manhattan just after 21:30 hours at the corner of 45th Street and 9th Avenue. Manhattan transmitted box 0815 (8th & 45th) for a apartment fire located at 359 W. four-five street. Battalion 9 arrived and reported a 5-story building with fire on the top floor and transmitted a 10-75 and "All hands going to work." When the fire extended into the cockloft, he struck the 2nd alarm.
The fire eventually made it to 3 alarms. 11 people were injured including 5 firefighters. Under control was transmitted at 23:44 hours.

Building fire in Center City Allentown closes North 7th Street...
Wednesday, August 11
Shortly after 09:10, Allentown transmitted box 2215 (7th & Linden) for 38 N. 7th Street in Center City for an apartment fire. Engines 4, 9, 6, truck 2 and BC 3 (G. Scheirer) are on the assignment. BC 3 arrives and has light smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story End Of Row.
Captain 4a (M. Scheirer) and his crew from Engine 4 search the second floor for the fire. One line is stretched to the second floor front vacant apartment and the fire is contained. Crews open up and search for extension. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall's office. FM 3 (F. Scheirer), Chief 40 (R. Scheirer) and Chief 46 (L. Laubuch) are also on the scene.

21:35 hours box 2328 (10th & Washington) was transmitted for a house fire at 732 N. 10th Street. Engines 9, 4, 10, truck 2 and Battalion 3 (Scheirer) take it in. Battalion 3 rounds the corner from Tilghman and finds heavy smoke in the street and transmits a working fire.
The crowds in the street are yelling that someone is trapped in the house. Crews immediately conduct a search that comes up negative. With heavy smoke and the seat of the fire not known, BC3 strikes the second alarm. Engines 10, 13, 14, Air 1 and Chief 40 respond. Most of the fire was confined to the porch roofs and exterior walls.

Lehigh County dispatched companies 32, 11, 3 and 62 for a house fire at 4344 Farmington Circle at 22:48. Command 32 arrives and transmits a working fire in a two-story S/F/D and the second alarm was struck.
Engine 32 arrives and stretches a line to the front door where they encountered heavy fire.
Companies 26, 8 and Whitehall's Rescue company respond in on the second alarm. A total of 3 lines were stretched and the fire was darkened down in about 20 minutes.

Allentown Firefighters battle building fire in Center City...
Friday, August 6
Just after 08:00, comm center transmitted a building fire on box 2227 (9th & Turner) for 221 North 9th Street. Upon arrival, crews had heavy smoke but had to search for the fire building. Crews eventually found a two-story small building on Nagle Street, a small street one street east of Ninth. Battalion 1 transmitted a working fire.
Engine companies stretched two handlines and established a water supply. Engine 10 was the assigned as the Rapid Intervention team. Crews had a tough time finding the seat of the fire because of the heavy smoke. Once they did, the fire was quickly darkened down.

Allentown Communications transmitted the box at 4:20pm for 913 Tilghman Street on a house fire, sending engines 4, 9, 10, truck 1 and B/C 2 (Lanshe) on the box. The Fire dispatcher immediately transmitted smoke showing from a street cam.
Battalion Chief Lanshe arrives and has a three-story M/O/R with smoke and fire showing and transmits a working fire. Captain from engine 4 reports fire in the cockloft. BC 2 transmits the second alarm sending engines 14, 11, 13, Air 1, FM3, Chief 41 and car 46 to the scene. Companies opened up and stretched multiple lines into service. The fire was under control at 5:00pm.
